peace like a river

in my (extended) family the x chromosome rules the roost. we are quite the female family. in fact, 13 little girls were born before my lonesome little brother finally came along.

now his wife fits right in. .

after my brother was born the girls kept coming. my aunt was soon pregnant with twin girls.

"the twins", as we have always affectionately called them, could have been siamese ~ for they have always been joined at the hip. when they were babies they formed a language that only the other could understand, dressed just alike until they were 12, almost had a double wedding, and are now having babies only 2 months apart.

in fact, baby rivers was born precisely 24 hours later. i've been singing "i've got peace like a river.... joy like an ocean.....in my soouuul" ever since i met her. she's beautiful.

and surrounded by love.

even baby cousin was jumping for joy, kicking her mama in excitement (for they will soon be joined at the hip too).
