So much I hope to document about our long, but wonderful summer ~ my last summer with 3 preschool little ones! The days have been slow (and hot), but as always in hindsight they seem to have lasted as long as our popsicles took to melt.

So hopefully more to come about our trips to the zoo, splash pad, library,
 zoo,  splash pad, library
zoo, splash pad, library....

Sleepyheads

(taken a month ago, while they were wiped with a fever virus)
sweet, sick, sleepyheads.

family photos

What's a beach trip without family photos on the beach? At least a gosh darn good attempt.

Believe it or not, rallying everyone together to get a look-at-the-camera happy photo is not my thing. I would have sailed through the vacation without even trying if it were left up to me. But after the fact it's nice to have all of us in one frame, even if we look like this ~

intrigued by the sand on her toes ~

I love photos that I can hear.
I hear this one ~
(the sweet little ahhh's that she makes while kissing my face)

When we left he told us he wanted to live at the beach.

It would suit him well.

He preferred the ocean to the pool, had no fear, and swam for hours. Mostly underwater.

Sam loved the ocean too, but liked snack breaks even more.

I love this face.  I see it often.

Lillie's pool was quickly taken over with creatures and treasures.

So scared...

I only took my camera out for a few minutes at a time. And sadly, no photos of her itty bitty polka dot bikini.

I have great memories of summers on the beach as a kid. Yet it is something entirely different seeing it through my children's eyes. I pray for many more get-aways just like this one!
